Omer A. Tomlinson

Omer A. Tomlinson, 71, of Clayton passed away February 10, 2012. He was born September 22, 1940 in Cartersburg to the late Paul and Ellen Tomlinson. Omer was a mechanic for Yellow Freight Trucking Company retiring in 2002 after 25 years. He was a member of Belleville Masonic Lodge and Plainfield Eagles Lodge. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 16, at 11:00 am in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Wednesday, February 15, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial in Clayton Cemetery. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael A. Tomlinson and sister, Rosalie Wilborn. Survivors include his wife, Joyce A. Tomlinson; son, Allen T. Tomlinson; brother, Jim Tomlinson; sisters, Effie Walls, Phyllis Haack, Pauline Fisher and Betty Jo Kelly; grandchildren, Alex, Tevin and Baylee Tomlinson.
