James R. Alexander

James R. Alexander, 95, of Clayton, passed away January 3, 2012. He was born December 28, 1916 to the late John and Mary (Hadley) Alexander in Morgan County, IN. He was a US Army veteran of WWII and a member of the Stilesville Christian Church. He was a lifelong Hendricks County farmer and also owned and operated Alexander Heating and Cooling until he retired in 1970. He is survived by his wife, Frances (Masten) Alexander; two daughters, Sharon Kelley and Jane Johnson; 5 grandchildren, Cheryl, James and Mitchell Kelley, and Karen Richardson Collins and Brian Richardson; 4 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 pm Sunday January 8, 2012 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home. Services will be private. Burial, Stilesville Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
