Philip Daniel Davis

Philip Daniel Davis, 84, of Plainfield, passed away December 4, 2011. He was born May 22, 1927 to the late Fred and Elsie (Weddle) Davis in Camby, IN. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII and a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a machine operator for Western Electric for 27 years retiring in 1977. He was a member of the Bridgeport and Fairfield Friends Meeting and an over 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge #669. Philip is survived by two sons, Steven and Paul (Linda) Davis; three daughters, Pamela Davis, Tammy Davis and Rebecca (Jim) Gibbs; 7 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Casey D. Davis. Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm Thursday, December 8, 2011 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday December 7. Burial, Fairfield Friends Cemetery, Camby.
