Richard A. "Dick" Long

Richard A. Long, 82, of Plainfield, passed away November 17, 2011 in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born September 27, 1929 in Beech Grove to the late Thomas S. and Sarah Long. He retired from Wabco in 1984 after 37 years as a supervisor in material control. Dick was a member of Plainfield Church of Christ. Funeral services will be Monday, November 21, at 10:30 am in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call from 2:00 - 6:00 pm on Sunday, November 20. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Dresel; brother, Clancy Long; sister, Clarice Pickett. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Long, daughter, Glenna (Patrick) Reed; brother, Jack Long; sisters, Betty Dickey, Cecile Thweatt and Ruth Conger; granddaughter, Kimberly Reed; great grandson, Bryson Todd.
