Betty L. Schnelle

Betty L. Schnelle, 83, of Indianapolis, formerly of Wanamaker, passed away November 5, 2011. She was born September 6, 1928 in Indianapolis to the late Charles and Goldie Hoover. Betty was a 1946 graduate of Ben Davis High School. She taught Sunday School at Bridgeport United Methodist Church and was involved in the church choir in her early years. She was past Worthy Matron of the Acton O.E.S. and had served as a Guardian for Job's Daughters. She was the office manager for KW Motor Company and McGinty Dodge. Betty and her husband were the owners of Bob's Place in Wanamaker for several years. A private memorial service will be held in Maple Hill Cemetery Chapel at a later date. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Schnelle and brother, Art Hoover. Survivors include 2 sisters, Arlene (Don) McAninch and Mary (Jerry) Pike; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
