G. Nadine Poloncic, 87, of Plainfield, more recently of The Hearth at Prestwick in Avon passed away October 17, 2011 in Hendricks Regional Hospital, Danville. She was born January 20, 1924 in West Union, IN to the late Cecil and Leta Cox. While serving as a member of the Women's Air Corp she met and married Albert J. Poloncic. They were married over 60 years, until his passing 3 years ago. She devoted her whole life to being the best possible wife, mother and homemaker anyone could ask for. She was a member of PEO and St. Susanna Catholic Church where a Funeral Mass will held on Saturday, October 22, at 10:00 am. Visitation will be October 21, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church building fund. Survivors include her children, Ronald & Barbara Poloncic of Macon, GA, Judy and Russ Christensen of Santa Monica, CA and Debra Schlegel of Plainfield, IN; brothers, Junior, Donald, Dane, Larry and Joe Cox; grandchildren, Steven Poloncic of Jacksonville, FL, Nicholas & Courtney Christenson of Santa Monica, CA; numerous nieces and nephews.
