Sandra K. Ritchie

Sandra K. Ritchie, 72, of Plainfield passed away Tuesday September 27, 2011. She was born April 15, 1939 to the late Rex and Nancy Hurt in Lafayette, IN. She is survived by her husband, David L. Ritchie; two sons, Scott (Rhonda)Ritchie of Harrisburg, NC and Brett (Connie) Ritchie of Castle Rock, CO; a brother, Phil Hurt; a sister, Jan Hockema both of Lafayette, IN; and 4 grandchildren, Brandon, Adam, Justin and Evan Ritchie. Sandra and David lived most of their lives in Plainfield, with their two sons both graduating from Plainfield High School as valedictorians and going on to earn degrees at Ball State University. She was preceded in death by her parents and step-mother, Dolores Hurt. Funeral services will be at 7:00 pm Thursday, September 29, 2011 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Thursday from 3:00 pm until service time at 7:00 pm. Burial will take place at Carolina Memorial Park Cemetery in Harrisburg, NC.
