Brenda J. (Goss) Farmer

Brenda J. (Goss) Farmer, 63, of Plainfield, passed away September 13, 2011 in St. Vincent Hospice. She was born December 7, 1947 in Morgan County to John and Oneta (Hovious) Goss. She was a 1966 graduate of Martinsville High School. Brenda received her undergraduate degree from Indiana University, (Indianapolis) and her doctorate from Indiana Wesleyan. She retired from IPS after 22 years teaching 4th and 5th graders at School #114. Brenda was a member of Plainfield Christian Church, where a Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, September 16, at 7:00 pm. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 pm until service time. Additional memberships include Daughters of the American Revolution, Wounded Warriors and Lifeline Ministries. Survivors include her husband, Stephen Farmer; son, Jason (Shannon) Farmer; parents, John and Oneta Goss; brothers, Mark, Gary and Jim Goss; sister, Stacie Good; granddaughter, Payton Farmer; sister in law, Jan Longest. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church.
