John A. Thomas Jr.

John A. Thomas Jr., 81, of Plainfield, passed away September 5, 2011. He was born June 5, 1930 to the late John Sr, and Ellen Pauline Thomas in Indianapolis. He was a US Army veteran. He worked for CSX for 32 years retiring as yard master in 1984. He is survived by his wife, Wilma Jean (Woodall) Thomas; two sons, Dave (Carol) and Russell Thomas; a daughter, Sheryl Anderson; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 12:00 pm Wednesday September 7, 2011 at Kingsway Christian Church, 7979 E. CR 100N in Avon, and where friends may call on Wednesday from 10:00 am until service time at 12:00 pm. Burial, Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
