Rufus I. Nysewander

Rufus I. Nysewander Jr., 87, of Plainfield, passed away July 4, 2011. He was born December 13, 1923 to the late Rufus Sr., and Alberta (Wright) Nysewander in Plainfield, IN. He was a US Army veteran of WWII. He was a lifelong Hendricks County farmer and also worked for the Plainfield Community School Corp. as a bus driver from 1954 to 1995. He was also a member of the Plainfield Christian Church. Rufus is survived by a son, Robert F. (Janet) Nysewander; a daughter, Nancy A. Skinner; 10 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara J. (Knoll) Nysewander; two sons, Morris and Bruce Nysewander; two brothers, Joseph and Cecil Nysewander; and two sisters, Albertamae Stanley and Florence Baumer. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Friday, July 8, 2011 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, July 7. Inurnment, Maple Hill Mausoleum.
