Robert E. Brinkmann

Robert E. Brinkmann, 77, of Plainfield, passed away June 27, 2011. He was born September 29,1933 to the late Henry and Ethel (McGaughey) Brinkmann in Indianapolis, IN. He was a veteran of the US Coast Guard. He received his BS and MS degrees from Indiana State University. He was a teacher for 35 years retiring from Northwest High School in 1995. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Brinkmann; a son, Jeffrey A. Brinkmann of Indpls.; two daughters, Rebecca B. (Mike) Kirsch of Columbus, IN, and Jennifer B. (Bradley) Van Handel of Appleton, WI; a brother, Michael Brinkmann; and 5 grandchildren, Sloane, Harrison, and Gabriel Kirsh, and Alex and Vanessa Van Handel. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Edward Brinkmann and a brother, Joseph Brinkmann. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, June 30, 2011 in the St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1200 N. Indiana Ave., Mooresville. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, June 29 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield. Burial, Calvary Cemetery, Indpls. Contributions may be made to the Church or St. Vincent DePaul Society.
