Anna B. Shaw

Anna B. Shaw, 84, of Plainfield, passed away June 10, 2011. She was born March 13, 1927 to the late Gilbert and Lillie (Bowman) Rogers in Greencastle, IN. She was a member of the Greencastle VFW and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary; the DAV Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a Gold Star Mother, and was a volunteer to transport veterans to and from the VA Medical Center. She is survived by three daughters, Exie E. Flora, Alma L. Eva and Lillie M. (Robert) Shugars; a brother, David L. Rogers; three sisters, Carolyn S. Payne, Freda Siddons and Garnett Spencer; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy P. Shaw; a son, Gilbert "Eddie" Buchanan; and two brothers, Russell Rogers and Robert Murphy. Funeral services will be at 7:00 pm Monday, June 13, 2011 in the First Baptist Church of Plainfield, 1012 Stafford Road, and where friends may call on Monday from 4:00 pm until service time at 7:00 pm.
