Lena Mae Swope

Lena Mae Swope, 87, of Indianapolis, Hendricks County, passed away May 6, 2011. She was born July 3, 1923 to the late Santford Filmore and Dorsey Mae (Couch) Cook in Cooleemee, NC. She was a homemaker and a member of the Westside Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by her husband, Lewis W. Swope; a son, Jerry L. (Julie) Swope; two daughters, Carolyn L. (Jim) Scruggs and Sharon L. Skeens; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Tuesday, May 10, 2011 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Monday, May 9 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Burial, Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
