Alta J. Albershardt

Alta J. Albershardt, 75, of Plainfield, passed away April 29, 2011. She was born October 28, 1935 to the late Alfred and Martha (Jones) Howell in French Lick, IN. She was a church secretary, and later she was a clerk at Kohl's and LS Ayers for many years. She was a member of Kingsway Christian Church and former member of the Post Road Christian Church. She is survived by her husband, Norman R. Albershardt; a daughter, Karen M. (Gregg) Nay; a sister, Edith Cauble; and two grandchildren, Zachary and Madison Nay. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lester Leech and 8 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be at 7:00 pm Wednesday, May 4, 2011 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 pm until service time at 7:00 pm. A private burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
