James H. Ross

February 22, 1927 — April 5, 2011

James H. Ross, 84, of Plainfield, passed away April 5, 2011. He was born February 22, 1927 to the late James Hunter and Connie (Stella) Ross in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He was a US Army veteran of WWII and Korean Wars. He worked in maintenance at Banquet Milk & Ice Cream Co.in Indianapolis for 42 years retiring in 1989. He is survived by his wife, Betty L. (Soots) Ross; a son, Larry J. (Barbara) Ross; two grandsons, Michael (Susan) and Steven (Jackie) Ross; and two great grandchildren, Nick and Abby Ross. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Friday, April 8, 2011 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, April 7. Burial with military honors in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield
