Claude E. Stinson

Claude E. Stinson, 85, of Plainfield, passed away February 1, 2011. He was born February 20, 1925 to the late William and Osie O. (Whited) Stinson in Richlands, VA. He was a US Army veteran of WWII. He was a truck driver for Citizens Enery Group for 30 years retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Bridgeport Masonic Lodge. Claude is survived by his wife, Jenny (Young) Stinson; three sons, Wayne M. (Marsha), Claude Jr., and Jeffrey (Zalene) Stinson; four daughters, Phyllis (Jack) Klase, Debbie (Lester) Cross, Pam (Frank) Wilhelm and Donna (Mike) Short; a step-son, Mike (Vickie) Murphy; 29 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Frankie (Arnold) Stinson, and a daughter, Janet Mason. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Saturday, February 5, 2011 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, February 4. Burial, New Crown Cemetery, Indianapolis.
