Gertrude I. Oster

Gertrude I. Laverty Oster, 98, of Plainfield, IN, passed away on January 4, 2011 at Miller's Merry Manor in Mooresville, IN. She was born November 4, 1912 in Jackson, MI. She moved to Houghton Lake in 1931. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Bessie Laverty; brothers, Arthur, Max, and Robert Laverty and a sister, Mildred, who died at birth; and her husband, Curtis Oster. She is survived by her daughters, Charlene Mahoney of Plainfield, IN, Geraldine Neva of Houston, TX, and Carmen Root of Houston, TX, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A private family burial will be in the Roscommon Township Cemetery in Houghton Lake, MI.
