Marjorie M. Martin

Marjorie M. Martin, 100, of Greenwood, formerly of Plainfield, passed away December 25, 2010. She was born May 25, 1910 in Chicago, IL, to the late Robert and Daisy Murray. She was a homemaker and member of Cartersburg Community Church. Her other memberships include past Worthy Matron of Cartersburg Order of Eastern Star; Alpha Chapter of Delta Alpha Gamma Sorority; South Liberty Home Economics Club; Clayton Progressive Club and Cartersburg Senior Citizens Club. Marjorie had also volunteered many years in the gift shop at Hendricks Regional Health. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wills Martin; stepson, John W. Martin; step daughter, Nancy Craig and 5 siblings. Funeral services will be private in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Cartersburg. Survivors include sons, L. Birt (Louisa) Kellam of Sun City West, AZ and Wesley W. Martin of Plainfield; daughter, Marjolane (Bob) Bidlack of Whiteland; step daughter, Marilyn J. Pasley; sister, Bonnie Hudkins; 5 grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
